A few words about us

Let us introduce ourselves

Llandudno Youth For Christ exists to take the good news of Jesus Christ relevantly to every young person in Llandudno. We do this by partnering with local churches and schools, running projects and events and regularly engaging with young people in their culture.

Since 2009, we have tirelessly shared the gospel with thousands of local young people. Now in our new office, we are ready to follow God’s plan and move forward together to see every young person in Llandudno following Jesus Christ.

Where did we come from

How it all came to be…

Youth For Christ was founded by Billy Graham in the 50s to bring young people to Jesus, and to support local churches to receive those young people.

Youth For Christ in Llandudno started in 2009 as a high street cafe project. Today we run multiple groups and projects throughout the area.

Our Projects

Redefine Community

A regular gathering of young Christians from multiple churches and their friends to learn about, question and explore faith – and to respond through worship, prayer and action.

Mentoring

Supporting young people in small groups and as individuals, making a difference in their lives.

Recess School Clubs

School clubs that engage young people with the gospel for the first time. Supported by assemblies and lessons, these action packed sessions come with donuts, games, and brilliant conversation.

Events

Regular one-off events, projects, camps, and socials including skiing, climbing, nerf battles, paper-aeroplane stunt shows, and much more!

Show Up & Write

Regular online support for young creative writers. Run by published authors with a chance to grow in faith while they develop storytelling skills.

Training and Support

Training events and think tanks run for the local church and youth workers to hone their skills and develop their own youth projects.

The Garage Youth Centre

A brand new, state-of-the-art, dedicated youth centre right in the heart of Llandudno. Designed by young people for young people, it’s a great space for fun groups, small gigs, & great conversation. If you’re interested in seeing the space, or using it with your young people, then get in touch.

Tim Gough

Center Director

Tim is an experienced youth worker, trainer, and award-winning author. He’s married to Katie, and loves live music, outdoor adventures, and spoiling his cat. He heads up the projects at Llandudno Youth for Christ, sets vision and strategy, and looks after the team.

Outside of Llandudno, Tim is responsible for developing Youth for Christ across Wales, teaches youth work, and is studying for a PhD.

Get Involved

Prayer

Stand with us and the young people of North Wales in prayer.

We regularly release prayer updates, so sign up (see ‘Get in touch’ form above) to keep on being informed.

Also – we run a monthly prayer gathering, 7-8pm in our home base on every fourth Sunday.

People

We have an amazing team of volunteers and an incredible group of trustees, however we are always stretched a bit thin! Please consider giving us some time to help. We need more volunteers behind the scenes, with admin, delivering front line youth and schools work and championing our mission in local churches. Get in touch for an informal chat.

Provision

We praise God for providing the funds to get this ministry off the ground, but now we are the end of our startup grants, regular support has never been more important. Please consider regular giving as a church or individual to ensure we can keep going! One way you can do this is by going to our Give.Net page and donating there.
